2023 Waikato Secondary Schools Indoor Competition

Dates: Thursdays, September 14th, 21st, October 12th, 19th, 26th, November 2nd, 9th

NOTICE TO ALL WAIKATO VOLLEYBALLERS

The 2022 Junior Waikato Secondary Schools Volleyball competition started on Thursday 22nd September.

Runs for: 7 weeks (not including Thursdays during Term 3 School holidays – so 2 weeks in Term 3 & 5 weeks in Term 4)

Entries closed: Friday 16th September, 5pm

Team entry fee: $360 – 1st Division, or $300 – lower Divisions

Grades, Format, etc.: Girls – Division 1,2,3,4, Boys – Division 1,2,3 (subject to entry numbers). Likely a maximum of 12 teams in each of 1st & 2nd Division, and only one team per school in 1st Divisions. Two games & 1 duty per evening (on average). Finals for all grades scheduled for last day.

Venue(s): The Peak (Rototuna HS) and others as needed.

Our Volleyball Development officer, Alex Mariano, will also be running volleyball programmes in individual schools, as well as ‘academy’ skills sessions at after school times.
